Dr. Amanda Lavorini

A Native Bay Area Endodontist with a Heart for Dentistry

Dr. Amanda Lavorini, a second-generation dentist from the San Francisco Bay Area, combines her inherited passion for dentistry with unparalleled expertise. Inspired by her father, a well-known dentist in Oakland, her journey began as a teenage dental assistant in his office.

Graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2004, Dr. Amanda received the Dean’s Valedictorian Award and was inducted into prestigious honor societies like Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She further honed her skills at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, specializing in endodontics and micro-endodontics.

Now a partner at Total Health Dental Care, Dr. Amanda is renowned for her clinical prowess and her role as a global clinical instructor in micro-endodontics. Her affiliations with the American Association of Endodontics and the Alameda County Dental Society underscore her commitment to the dental community.

Dr. Amanda’s life outside the clinic is filled with diverse interests. From skiing and knitting to lockpicking and rock hunting, her hobbies reflect a vibrant and dynamic personality. Her love for the Bay Area shines through her favorite spots like Mt. View cemetery and Napa hot springs.

Professionally, Dr. Amanda finds immense satisfaction in providing relief to patients in pain. She balances this with personal time spent binge-watching Netflix favorites like "Better Call Saul" and "Squid Games," and enjoys a pepperoni and pineapple pizza.

Dr. Amanda’s blend of expert endodontic care and a deep commitment to patient comfort makes every dental experience at Total Health Dental Care not just effective, but also empathetic and reassuring.
